West Papua Human Rights Center
The West Papua Human Rights Center (WPHRC) is a nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C.,
dedicated to raising awareness of the ongoing human rights situation in West Papua. Due to restricted
access and limitations on press freedom, the region remains largely closed to independent observers,
and information is often controlled or filtered. As a result, many people around the world are unaware
